Our ultimate aim is to develop better interventions for people with eating disorders and obesity. Our research is inspired by clinical practice and we continuously try to translate our findings from the lab to the clinic.
Some of us (Sandra Mulkens and Lotte Lemmens) also work as a therapist in the community mental health center Virenze Riagg Maastricht. Sandra Mulkens is a certified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (VGCt®, 1999), Health Care psychologist (GZ-Psycholoog, 1999), Psychotherapist (2002), and Clinical Psychologist (2011).
Anita Jansen is a registered cognitive behaviour therapist at the Vereniging voor Gedragstherapie en Cognitieve Therapie (VGCt) (Dutch association of Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy). She developed several treatment protocols for eating disorders and obesity, and currently supervises a randomised clinical trial on cognitive therapy and exposure in Virenze Riagg, together with Lotte Lemmens and Sandra Mulkens.
